Shutting Down Gitmo

     I do not make any doubt as to my opinions on Obama and how poorly I view his policies.  I do not sit here and try to make lemonade from the lemons he has handed this nation, and the world for that matter.  There just isn't anything he has done that I am in support of, and him vowing to close Gitmo is another blunder that I will not support.
     At first my thoughts went to national security; the continued jail sentence is a recruiting tool for ISIS and other terror organizations.  OK, I see your point.  If the terrorists will use Guantanamo as a "recruiting tool" then I see WHY we would want to remove burning embers from the fire.  What I don't see is how closing one prison and transferring them to another prison will make these terrorists any less angry.  They view these prisoners as martyrs--- no maximum security prison will be an olive branch to appease ISIS and Al-Qaida.  Even if these martyrs were released and allowed to go home, don't we all come to the conclusion that they will just continued to be used a recruiting/anti-America propaganda?
     Of the 91 terrorists that remain housed in Gitmo, we will transfer 35 of them to other nations willing to take them.  That leaves us with 56 terrorists that will be tried and housed on American soil.  It's cheaper to do this we are told, but will this make us safer?  Look at all of the people allowed into the USA who are affiliated with terrorist groups, and those Americans who are defecting to the terrorist networking propaganda.  How is it safer to house these terrorists on American soil when jail breaks are possible and easier in landlocked areas?  If the millions of dollars we paid in to keep Gitmo opened is so abhorred, then how is paying for lavish dinners and sporting events any less wasteful? 
     Obama claims the transfer of the terrorists will be responsible, but how is anything he has done so far prove as evidence that his administration is responsible?  Obama did not, surprisingly, release the location as to what facility these terrorists are going to because he knows that no matter where he places them, there will be a great amount of opposition. 
     It's another performance piece from Obama; all smoke and mirrors.
